Basic house sitting services
It is best to plan a couple of weeks in advance in order to obtain services on the dates you desire. An in-home interview is required, prior to reservations, for all new clients.
For any bookings less than three visits, the first in-home interview is $15.00.
I will obtain your house key during the initial visit, when service is scheduled and agreements are signed. Keys will be either left at the residence at the end of the service or returned in person.
In the event you have to be away longer than planned, it is mandatory that you contact me immediately. I am not going to leave your pet(s) uncared for, but if there would happen to be a scheduling conflict, I may need as much time as possible to accommodate you.
Please cancel as soon as you find out that your plans have changed.
Less than 24 hour notice for a cancellation of services is a *$25.00 fee.
Please feel free to call, text, or email me anytime to check on your pets during your absence. If you get my voicemail, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
I’m Home Calls
Please remember to call, text, or email me when you have returned home safely! Otherwise, I will need to continue visiting to assure the safety and well-being of your pets. Please call ANY hour and leave a voice message that you have returned.
Please notify me if others (maids, friends, family members, etc.) will have access to your home during your absence. You should notify anyone with access to the home that Peace of Mind Pet Care services have been engaged.
Pet Related Emergencies
In case of a pet emergency, I will transport your pet to the closest available animal clinic. I will make every effort to contact your specific Veterinarian, but in an emergency situation, I will do what I feel necessary to get your pet the care that it needs.
I cannot be responsible for free-roaming or outdoor pets in the event of illness, injury, loss or death. It is strongly advised that all pets have some form of permanent ID and that they remain inside the home or confined to a yard or pen for their own safety and welfare in your absence.
I am an experienced veterinary technician who can administer any oral or topical medication your pet may
need during my visits. Medication administration is free of charge.
I am an experienced veterinary technician and am trained to administer subcutaneous fluids to help rehydrate cats and dogs.
Basic House Sitting Services
I can take in your mail, alternate lights, do light watering of plants, turn your Christmas Tree on and off, or do whatever you need while I’m taking care of your pets.
Pet Information Form
New clients should use the Pet Information form to provide information about each of their pets. Just press the button below to download the form. I will review with you during our initial in-home visit.
Rates, Payment and Cancellations
Peace of Mind Pet Care provides a variety of services to you and your pet. I will ensure that all of your routines remain in place and that your pet sitting experiences will be positive, and stress-free.
Because I have had some unfortunate past situations taking payment in the form of checks, I no longer accept checks. I regret this inconvenience, but feel it is necessary in light of significant expenses and lost time in addressing previous check payment issues.
All visits will consist of care, love, attention, exercise, feeding, watering and cleaning any bowls or litter necessary.
Standard visit: $25.00 per day
Multiple Visits: $35.00 per day
Multiple pet households or services requiring extended visit time may be subject to extra fees
Less than 24 hour notice for a cancellation of services is a $25.00 fee.
Cancellations 72 hours or more in advance (before start of services) there is no charge.
*Prices Subject to Change due to requirements, location, and gas prices.
What My Clients Are Saying
"My elderly cat is on a fairly complicated daily course of medications, treatments and special foods. Because Jennifer is a trained vet tech, I know that she will be able to follow through with the detailed written directions I leave for her, as well as respond competently in an emergency. This (along with her kind manner) is why I have chosen Jennifer to be my cat-sitter for nearly 10 years."
Canyon Country, CA
“We got to know Jennifer through our visits to The Cat Doctor where she has been a veterinary technician for years. We noticed her flyer and on our next trip out of town we asked Jennifer to sit our two cats. Knowing that she was a veterinary technician gave us extra confidence. That was many years ago and Jennifer is still our first call. We think she is wonderful. With her looking after them, we definitely have Peace of Mind.”
Allen, Renee, & Scooter
“For the past 12 years I have entrusted Peace of Mind with the care of our family pets. Of course, our first choice would be for them to travel with us, but that is not always possible. Knowing that they will receive the same special attention that we would give them, means everything to us. They are able to be in their own home and comfortable surroundings, which makes the family departure a lot less stressful ( for the pets and owners). The years of experience that Jennifer has in the pet care field makes her so knowledgeable and capable for all of our pet's needs. All of the little extra touches such as taking in the mail, the newspaper, and watering plants....you could not ask for more! Thank you Jennifer.... it is so wonderful to return home to happy and healthy "tail wagging" dogs! We look forward to our continued relationship for years to come.”
Santa Clarita, California
“Over the past several years Jennifer has literally become a trusted and treasured member of our extended family. Her company's name says it all.
We have lived in Stevenson Ranch, CA for nearly 12 years.
Amazingly, it was very difficult to find someone both trustworthy and competent enough to follow our instructions regarding the care of our beloved pets and watching over our home.
Before Jennifer, the joy of planning a trip away used to be overshadowed with a nagging anxiety that our pets and home would not be fully cared for in the manner we had envisioned.
We have two strictly indoor cats (one is deaf) and a very happy, but needy chocolate Labrador. With Jennifer, every request and rule is followed down to the most specific detail. Jennifer is constantly going above and beyond her normal call of duty. Our animals love her.
Having finally found her gives us true peace of mind. We are finally free to fully relax and enjoy trips away from home. I would not trade her for anyone else in the world.”
